Jason “J” Carter had a vision. After attending music festivals throughout the country, he was inspired to create a Black-owned, Black-curated festival.
In 2010, he launched ONE Musicfest. The annual two-day festival — which centers Black joy, culture, creativity, and music — has grown into a popular, long-standing destination event in Atlanta. More than 100,000 people from Georgia and across the nation attend the event every year.
Ludacris, Future, Mary J. Blige, and The Roots are among some of the top-charting artists slated to take center stage at this year’s festival on Oct. 25 and 26 at Piedmont Park.
