Metro Atlanta businesses are bracing for the potential impact of a major winter storm that could hit Georgia this weekend.

A report from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce says that for business owners, now is the time to confirm operating plans, secure enough fuel for generators, and communicate with employees before hazardous weather begins.

“Georgia winters are usually mild, but rare snow, ice, or deep-freeze events can cause major disruption,” the report reads. “Even minor storms here create outsized impacts due to limited snow-removal equipment and driver inexperience.”
