For over 30 years, The Carter Center has monitored elections in 40 countries worldwide.

“It’s rigorous, it’s non-partisan standards that we put in all our election monitoring,” says Paige Alexander, CEO of The Carter Center.

The center has also monitored select U.S. elections since 2020 but is now keeping an eye on something else: the possibility of a federal takeover of election systems.
