DeKalb County will temporarily relocate eight polling places this summer due to construction at local schools, affecting thousands of voters for the May 19 primary and a potential June 16 runoff.

The DeKalb County Elections Board unanimously approved the relocations at its Feb. 12 meeting, which will also apply if the runoff is required. Officials said the moves are necessary to accommodate the full summer election calendar while ensuring accessibility, parking and clear voter communications.
