Veteran journalist Meghna Chakrabarti says the spreading of misinformation is often a distraction from credible news. But she also believes it provides an opportunity for journalists to dig deeper and find the truth.
Chakrabarti is an award‑winning journalist, host and editor of “On Point.” The nationally syndicated NPR and WBUR program is known for “piercing your news bubble to expose the whole story.” The show tackles complex topics, examines history and the human condition, and refuses to shy away from difficult questions.
Chakrabarti was announced as co‑host of “On Point” on July 25, 2018, alongside NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik. She officially began the role in August of that year and became the program’s sole host in July 2020.
