'We have a historic-level wait list': Meals on Wheels Atlanta struggles to serve seniors

The rising cost of food is affecting a prolific non-profit that serves seniors in the metro Atlanta area.

Meals on Wheels Atlanta cites that 70% of the seniors it serves rely on MOWA as their only source of food. But now there’s a wait list of 800 people.

“We’ve stopped accepting applications from seniors,” CEO Charlene Crusoe-Ingram tells WABE’s “Morning Edition.”
