Four metro Atlanta kindergarteners are eager to take on first grade. Well, that’s, of course, after they spend their summers immersed in activities like traveling, swimming, reading books, caring for pets and more.

As an extension of “Closer Look’s” annual graduation series, program host Rose Scott talks with a roundtable of rising first graders about their educational journey thus far.

During the conversation, the students discussed what they enjoyed most about kindergarten and also shared advice they’d give to rising kindergartners.

While some of the 2026 graduates already have career aspirations, like working for NASA and living on the moon. Others are still figuring it out.
