A force to be reckoned with: 'Closer Look' guests pay tribute to Tina Turner
Tina Turner was a force bigger than music.
The queen of rock ‘n’ roll was a renaissance woman: an entertainer, a domestic abuse survivor, wife, mother and so much more.
Turner, who was best known for her top chart-topping hits like “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “Proud Mary,” died on Wednesday at her home in Switzerland.
The international superstar’s career spanned over five decades and included songs that were a mixture of R&B, soul and rock.
The official cause of Turner’s death has not been released, but in a recent interview, the 83-year-old mentioned that she had been battling with kidney and high blood pressure issues.
On Friday’s special edition of “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” several guests joined the program to reflect on the power of Turner’s music, life and legacy.
