The Great American Songbook is a bit of a misnomer, considering it is not a real book. And yet, the contents of that songbook formed the basis of American popular song for much of the 20th century. 

Flying Carpet Theatre Director Adam Koplan returned to “City Lights” to help further demystify the invisible — and fluid — volume of music.
