Less than 10 minutes. That’s how long it took for Fulton County Superior Court Judge Constance Russell to approve the transfer of Basil Eleby to Fulton County’s Drug and Mental Health Accountability Court.
Basil Eleby is the man accused of starting the fire that caused the I-85 bridge to collapse in March.
If Eleby completes the 18-month program, his charge of arson will be dismissed and he won’t have to make a plea.
