On this edition of “Closer Look,” Atlanta Citizen Review Board executive director Samuel L. Reid talks about the launch of the board’s new online portal for submitting police complaints.

The publicly accessible portal allows residents to submit videos, pictures and audio to document their complaints toward police and correctional officers — all while having the option to remain anonymous. Users can then track the status of their complaint and receive updates as an investigation advances.

“Our effort has always been listening to the community,” said Reid, who hopes the portal will improve transparency and accessibility in the agency’s work.
