Atlanta City Councilmember Marci Collier Overstreet believes Greenbriar Mall has the potential to serve the city’s southwest community in a variety of different ways.

The mall, which opened its doors in 1965, is less than 10 miles from the world’s busiest airline hub, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

However, in recent years, the shopping destination has lost several of its anchor stores and the very first Chick-fil-A restaurant, which closed after 56 years of operation in 2023.
