Atlanta Developer Links Eastside Trail With Historic Fourth Ward Park

The developer of a $1 billion project on the Atlanta BeltLine is preparing to open a direct route from the Eastside Trail to Historic Fourth Ward Park.

New City LLC plans to allow public access to the 130-foot-wide grand staircase on April 28, forming a connection between a section of the BeltLine that draws over 2 million pedestrians a year and Historic Fourth Ward Park.

For years, connectivity between the two amenities had been cut off by a Georgia Power operations site. New City bought the property and is developing a mixed-use project known as 760 Ralph McGill.
