Atlanta Film Festival for 18 April 2008

The Atlanta Film Festival is a collection of 150 films in Atlanta that will be shown over a ten day period.

– The festival now runs through the 19th. The films will be screened at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema. Since 1977, the Atlanta Film Festival has brought international and independent films to the city. The Atlanta Film Festival is the largest and longest running film festival in the Southeast.

WABE's Steve Goss spoke with Creative Loafing's Senior Arts writer David Lee Simmons about the festival and the role that film festivals play toward providing independent filmmakers an avenue toward wider distribution of their work. Today's showings include:
