Atlanta poet Collin Kelley writes confessional poetry but strives to make it universal
On the “City Lights” series “Speaking of Poetry,” Atlanta’s most prolific wordsmiths discuss the art of evoking emotions with words. This “Speaking of Poetry” edition features poet, novelist and journalist Collin Kelley.
He writes confessional poetry from very personal experiences.
“Although my poems come from personal experiences and observations, my goal with each poem is to make it accessible and universal so that it resonates with every reader,” said Kelley.
He created his new collection, “Wonder and Wreckage,” after losing a family member and close friends to the AIDS crisis. You can find more information about Kelley and his works on his website.
