Summer break for Atlanta Public Schools students could be longer in coming years as officials are working to set calendars.
News outlets report the school board tentatively approved calendars for the next three years on Tuesday that have school starting more than a week later.
The later start would shorten students’ weeklong breaks in the fall and winter to four-day weekends, but the school year will still end around Memorial Day.
