Earlier in March, Atlanta’s historic and iconic Plaza Theatre announced that it will be shutting its doors indefinitely.

It is Atlanta’s only privately owned indie movie theater and has been a cultural icon in the city for the last 50 years.

Christopher Escobar, owner of the Plaza Theatre, joined “City Lights” hostLois Reitzes to talk about how the theater is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and what the future holds for Atlanta’s longest continuously running movie theater.
