On Tuesday, a federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s attempt to freeze federal funding for grants and loans.

The Office of Management and Budget sent a two-page memo to all federal agencies on Monday night directing them to “temporarily pause all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all Federal financial assistance” that were in conflict with Trump’s recent executive orders.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson, representing Georgia’s 4th Congressional District, responded to Trump’s efforts to freeze federal aid. He explained the impact and the importance of the federal government funding programs for school lunch, childcare and other programs that help Americans.
