Congressman John Lewis To Introduce Best Picture Nominee At Oscars

Georgia Congressman John Lewis will introduce one of the eight Best Picture nominees on Sunday’s Academy Awards telecast, show producer Donna Gigliotti and co-producer and director Glenn Weiss announced.

Lewis, a long-time Congressman and civil rights leader, is one of 11 “highly recognized talents from various walks of life” who will introduce the films. The others are:Chef José Andrés, Dana Carvey, Queen Latifah,Diego Luna, Tom Morello, Mike Myers, Trevor Noah, Amandla Stenberg, Barbra Streisand and Serena Williams.

The announcement did not say which Best Picture nominee Lewis will introduce. The films nominated for Best Picture are: “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Black Panther,” “The Favourite,” “BlackkKlansman,” “Green Book,” “Vice,” “A Star is Born” and “Roma.”
