Preparations are underway for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup. According to the recently released schedule, Georgia’s capital city will host eight soccer matches, including a semifinal.
The matches will be spread out over the course of 30 days and are expected to draw massive crowds to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Dan Corso, the president of the Atlanta Sports Council, says the sporting event could bring an estimated $5 billion to the city.
