There’s a new sponsorship category for sports teams: disinfectants.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has made cleaning and safety a top priority as fans return to live sports and entertainment venues.
That’s why the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena agreed to a multi-year partnership with Clorox Co. (NYSE: CLX). The manufacturing company will be the team’s first official cleaning and disinfecting product partner. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“People feel more confident when they see cleaning and disinfecting happening,” said Tad Kittredge, Clorox’s vice president of marketing.
