Current, former CDC staff in Atlanta angered by shooting response, call on RFK Jr. resignation

ATLANTA — Dr. Anna Yousaf was working remotely on Friday, Aug. 8, when she received a text alert from her employer, the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Yousaf, a pediatrician and infectious disease specialist, said there was an active shooter on campus.

“I was acting team lead, so I immediately tried to figure out where all our people were,” she said.
