DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond launched his career in public service in 1982. The longtime politician, whose career spans across 42 years, will conclude his term limits, after serving nearly a decade as the CEO of DeKalb County.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” he talked with show host Rose Scott about several topics, including the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center and DeKalb’s summer youth jobs training program, and the lessons he’s learned throughout the years serving as an elected official.
