Metro Atlanta is home to the second-highest number of soundstages in the U.S., and thanks to the booming film industry here, our area has been described as the Hollywood of the South. Atlanta’s infrastructure supports well-established filmmakers in addition to the up-and-coming artists.

On March 26, the DeKalb Student Film Festival will celebrate its newest crop of young film enthusiasts at the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center.

In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes is joined by Shelbia Jackson, founding Director of the DeKalb Entertainment Commission with student filmmaker Isabella Brathwaite, a high school senior at the Dekalb School of the Arts.
