Emory School of Medicine has terminated a non-clinical faculty member over a recent social media post. This comes after several Georgia employers fired or suspended employees for comments made on social media after the shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

“As EVPHA Joon Lee shared earlier this week, we are aware of a recent social media post by a School of Medicine non-clinical faculty member that caused concern within our community. That individual has been terminated,” said Dean Sandra L. Wong in a Thursday announcement.

A spokesperson for the school declined to comment on the post or the terminated individual.
