When we think of trolls, we might imagine monstrous creatures from fairytales of old or colorful-haired dolls or … perhaps the slang used to describe internet bullies. A traveling exhibition, “Trolls: Save the Humans” by the artist Thomas Dambo, depicts trolls as benevolent lifesaving environmental activists and features six enormous folklore-inspired sculptures all built from reclaimed materials.
The show made its world premiere at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and is on view through Sept. 17.
In this interview, “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes speaks with artist Thomas Dambo about his work and the exhibit.
