America finds itself in another tense point in its history, with multiple threats and deadly shootings involving political figures. Plus, amid the rapid spread of misinformation and disinformation, the nation is experiencing heated political rhetoric.

But is there a place for fair political discourse without the violence and rhetoric, and how do we get there? 

For this Feedback Friday on “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott talks with a roundtable of journalists who discuss the challenges and responsibilities of sharing the differing views of the public and politicians. They discuss how political rhetoric can shape public opinion and how credible journalists and news outlets can disarm its manipulative power.
