Fulton County officials say an investigation is underway after a middle school student allegedly attacked several students and staff at Heards Ferry Elementary School in Sandy Springs on Wednesday.
A spokesperson told WABE they sustained minor injuries and were medically evaluated. The middle schooler, a former student at the elementary school, was apprehended by school police.
“We can confirm that a middle-school aged former Heards Ferry Elementary School student entered the school campus playground and assaulted several students and a staff member. The child was apprehended quickly by Fulton County Schools police, and was detained as the parent was brought in. Students sustained minor injuries and were medically evaluated,” the spokesperson said. “A full investigation is in progress. We do not have any information yet about possible charges.”
