Atlanta, GA – Blue Ridge Republican Rep. David Ralston was nominated by his fellow House Republicans to succeed Speaker Glenn Richardson, who resigned amid allegations he had an affair with a lobbyist. Matt Towery is a former Republican state representative who served with Ralston, when Ralston was a state senator. Towery, now C-E-O of InsiderAdvantage, told WABE's Denis O'Hayer Ralston is more likely to change the culture of the House, than he is to make major changes in its leaders, like committee chairs.
