Former Trump chief of staff testifies in federal court, requests election interference trial be moved

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows testified for nearly four hours in federal court in Fulton County on Monday.

Meadows and former President Donald Trump are among 19 people charged for their alleged efforts to overturn Joe Biden’s presidential win in Georgia. The former top aide, who is charged with racketeering, says his actions outlined in the indictment were all part of his responsibilities as chief of staff.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” WABE politics reporter Sam Gringlas talked more about Meadows’ testimony, his request to have his case moved out of state court to the federal level, and what Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in court.
