A proposed bill that aims to block transgender minors from receiving hormone replacement therapy, as well as prohibits medical professionals from performing certain surgical procedures at hospitals and other licensed healthcare facilities, is one step closer to becoming law.
Georgia senators passed SB 140 on Tuesday, and now it awaits Gov. Brian Kemp’s signature to become law.
On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Mike Griffin, a public affairs representative for Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and Rev. Joshua Noblitt with Georgia Equality discussed opposition and support of the measure.
