Potential winter storm coming to Georgia this weekend

The National Weather Service is monitoring a potential winter storm that could affect parts of Georgia and other areas of the Southeast U.S. over the weekend.

According to the NWS, the threat of wintry precipitation on Sunday, including a chance of snow, is shifting to the south and the east, with the greatest risk running from Columbus up through Madison, near Athens, and south into central and south Georgia.
