The Georgia State Board of Education formally granted $48 million in federal funds that the Trump administration had withheld from after-school and summer programs.

These grants, some dating back to the FY 2023 budget, are for helping students in high-poverty and low-performing schools meet state and local academic standards. One of the main grants affected was the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant, which helps fund after-school services.
