A motions hearing for Colin Gray, the father of the accused Apalachee High School shooter, is set for Tuesday at 9 a.m. to hash out more details ahead of his trial in September.
Gray’s case is only the second time parents of an alleged school shooter have been prosecuted on charges related to their child’s actions. Both prosecutors and Gray’s attorneys have claimed it’ll be difficult for them to find a fair and impartial jury in the same county where the shooting occurred.
The motions hearing follows a ruling late last month by Barrow County Judge Nicholas Primm to select jurors from neighboring Hall County, instead of moving the trial altogether or importing a jury from Walton County, as both parties had requested.
