Georgia Votes ‘Yes’ On Fireworks Tax Amendment Four

Georgians voted “yes” on an amendment to dedicate the existing 5 percent sales tax on fireworks to funding trauma care at hospitals, firefighter equipment and training and other public safety efforts.

Opponents say the bill would place on unfair burden on lower income residents.
