More than 4 million people in Georgia voted early in the 2024 presidential election. In a last-ditch effort, Vice President Kamala Harris, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and former President Donald Trump held campaign rallies in the Peach State over the weekend. With less than 24 hours to the presidential election, U.S. Sen. JD Vance of Ohio is expected to campaign in Georgia on Monday.
On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott talked with guests about what role Georgia is playing in this election and how the state gained the national spotlight.
First, WABE politics reporter Rahul Bali recapped the last 48 hours and what he saw on the campaign trail in Georgia during this election cycle. He also talked about the state’s growing influence on the presidential race since 2020.
