Georgia's unauthorized immigrant population nears half a million people

Georgia’s unauthorized immigrant population is estimated to be near 500,000 people.

No one organization has an accurate count of this information. To develop an estimate, the nonprofit, nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute partnered with Pennsylvania State University and Temple University to develop a methodology using Census data and information from the Department of Homeland Security. 

This estimate from MPI is through mid-2023.
