As Russian tanks invaded Ukraine, Volodymyr Petrytsya’s heart sank. Even so, his resolve strengthened.

The Ukrainian-born pastor of Conyers’ Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church says he’s somewhat comforted by having access to working communications lines, meaning he can stay in touch with loved ones.

However, everything else surrounding the situation is proving almost unbearable.

Petrytsya joined “All Things Considered” to share what those feelings are like.
