A classic comic is getting the punk rock treatment.
Kosmo Vinyl is a London-born, New York City-based artist who once managed the punk band The Clash in their heyday. This weekend, he’s in the Atlanta area for the opening of his art exhibit, “Cisco Kid vs. Donald Trump” at Different Trains Gallery.
On “City Lights,” host Lois Reitzes spoke with Kosmo Vinyl about his time with The Clash as well as his pop-art, punk and politically-charged artwork.
“Cisco Kid vs. Donald Trump” opens on the one-year anniversary of the presidential inauguration with an artist’s reception at Different Trains Gallery in Decatur. There’s also an afternoon artist talk on January 27, and the exhibit runs through March 3.
