The most recent jobs report data shows the U.S. labor market has slowed in 2025. Some of the major factors impacting the job market include: inflation and interest rates, immigration, massive federal job terminations and the elimination of diversity, equity and inclusion jobs at companies across the U.S.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” host Rose Scott talked with Katherine Bremer, the author of the book, “Headhunter Confidential: The Unwritten Rules for Landing A Job You Love.”

Day Bremer talked more about the current job market and the hiring trends she’s seeing in Atlanta. She also offered advice from her experience as a headhunter for bigger companies.
