When it comes to thriving businesses, Area Development seems to have Georgia on its mind.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced Wednesday that, for the 12th consecutive year, the site and facility planning magazine has named Georgia the top state for business in the United States.

South Carolina ranked behind it at No. 2, with Texas, North Carolina and Ohio rounding out the top five.
