Ebenezer Baptist Church has expanded its outreach efforts to help individuals and families amid the pandemic.

The historical church that was once co-pastored by Martin Luther King Jr. and now by pastored by Sen. Raphael Warnock has provided COVID-19 testing, vaccines and other resources to its members and people throughout metro Atlanta.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Rev. Bronson Woods, the assistant pastor of outreach and young adult ministries, talked with show host Rose Scott about how the church located in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood has continued to live up to its name Ebenezer, which means “a stone of hope ” during the ongoing health crisis.

Woods says the church launched Manna Mondays, a free food distribution, after receiving an influx of requests for food and shelter.
