The Museum of Design Atlanta recently announced a whole new roster of online classes and events for both children and adults alike. Their Young Designer Programming includes multiple different workshops and educational classes aimed at children across a wide age range.

The highlight of that programming is “Minecraft Mysteries” where kids use Minecraft as a way of exploring and learning more about the history of ancient structures like the Great Pyramids and Machu Picchu.

In addition, MODA has announced that it is offering a few different virtual exhibitions. “The Design of Dissent” showcases graphic works that deal with social and political issues from around the world.  While Learning from Nature shows how art can be used as a tool for sustainable solutions to help combat climate change.

Executive director Laura Flusche and museum educator Brigid Drozda joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes for a conversation about the new digital content.
