After a two-year hiatus, MomoCon is returning to Atlanta.

The convention, which celebrates Japanese and American animation, gaming, cosplay and music, has drawn crowds of 30,000 in the past, will kick off Thursday and run through Sunday at Georgia World Congress Center.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Renee Cooper, the marketing director for MomoCon, told program host Rose Scott that organizers and volunteers are ready to serve convention-goers amid the pandemic

“What we are putting into place is a mask requirement for anyone over the age of five years old,” said Copper.

Copper further explained that attendees are asked to follow public health guidelines.
