New South, New Organs, New Music

The 2007 Southeastern Organ Festival begins this Sunday in Atlanta

– Throughout its history, the Atlanta chapter of the American Guild of Organists has been a champion of new music. True to form, the 2007 Festival will feature commissioned works by some of America's top composers. There will be much excitement surrounding the unveiling of several new organ and choral compositions. The chairs of the AGO's 2007 Southeastern Convention, Bruce Neswick and John Brandt, stopped by the studio to chat with Wanda Yang Temko.

Bruce Neswick is Canon for Music at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead, and John Brandt is Organist/Choir Master at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain.
