While the wait continues in the presidential race and some state contests, Georgia’s 5th Congressional District was decided Tuesday night.

The seat was formerly represented by the late Democratic Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis.

The district will now be led by Democrat Nikema Williams after her victory over Republican Angela Stanton-King in Tuesday’s election.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Williams talked to host Rose Scott about the 5th District’s legacy, succeeding Lewis and charting her own path.
