Ryan Ralston, the executive director of Atlanta’s Peachtree NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), says 420 Day marks a celebration of freedom and what could be.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Ralston talked with program host Rose Scott about several topics, including NORML’s ongoing push for lawmakers to legalize marijuana in Georgia, the importance of passing the MORE Act and the criminalization of recreational cannabis.

“We want to remove the politics from cannabis because it is a bipartisan issue — criminal justice reform is a bipartisan issue,” said Ralston.

During the conversation, Ralston also shared why he believes there isn’t a difference between the medicinal and recreational use of marijuana.
