Larry Williams, the CEO and president of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), says there was a hiring frenzy for the tech industry amid the pandemic, and now the industry is experiencing layoffs, but—now small and medium-sized businesses are now hiring.

“They might not have cool West Cost names, but they are doing great work right here in Atlanta,” said Williams.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Williams talked about several tech-related topics, including TAG’s efforts to diversify the tech space and the growing Fintech and bitcoin industries in Georgia.

“We’re a global hub for innovation,” said Williams. “ We’re Atlanta.”
