STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Stone Mountain Park is in the process of changing operators, and it could mean job losses for 500 employees.

Fox 5 Atlanta reports Thrive SMP, the park’s current operator, is closing in June after reportedly losing $1.6 million.

A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice shows that 497 employees could be out of a job effective June 1. The jobs affected include gate attendants, entertainment workers dispatchers, and several managerial positions.
