A bill that aimed to reform and expand funding for mental health treatment in Georgia did not advance this legislative session.

On Thursday’s edition of “ Closer Look,” just one day after Sine Die, Georgia State Sen. Sheikh Rahman talked with show host Rose Scott about the state of mental health services and resources in Georgia, funding Georgia respite centers and why House Bill 520 did not advance this session.

During the conversation, Sen. Rahman also talked about being a part of the Georgia Legislative Asian American Pacific Islander Caucus.

“Mental health is my priority, education is my priority, health care is my priority— not only my priority, I think it’s most of Georgia’s priority,” said Rahman.
